Join us at Tin Mountain Conservator Center June 5 to explore transforming your yard into a healthy ecostem with native plants

Despite the exceptionally cool and rainy weather we are having, migratory birds, especially warblers, have lately been abundant here in our yard – especially in the Oak trees. Every year I am thrilled and amazed as they return from their wintering grounds to breed around us or continue on further north. Pollinator activity is low due to the weather, but the early blooming plants are ready for them, bursting with flowers and looking lush and healthy.
As we enter our fifth growing season there is lots to report from the garden. We would love to share this with you at Tin Mountain. Click here for this popular program.
We’ll take a close look at what we all can do to protect our pollinators, even those less popular, but very important, ones like this Northern Paper Wasp (right). This guy seemed to be posing for me at Tin Mountain last week.
