Join us for a Mass Audubon on-line program November 21 at 7pm
Join us for a fun, colorful and eye-opening program about the irruptive birds we may be lucky enough to see coming this autumn and winter, like these Bohemian Waxwings (photo left). You can register here: https://www.massaudubon.org/programs/mass-audubon-education/93758-autumn-avians-sudden-population-surges
We are licensed to share with you some of Cornell Lab of Ornithology | Macaulay Library’s top-rated, dazzling pictures, ranging from Snowy Owls to Evening Grosbeaks, taken by expert bird photographers.
We’ll talk about why our common winter birds, like American Goldfinches (top left), are sometimes joined by “irruptive” boreal forest finches, like Pine Siskins (bottom left), and a few other songbird species and owls. We’ll also offer tips on identifying them and attracting them to your yard.
This program will also be offered in-person at the Jackson Public Library in Jackson, New Hampshire on February 11, 2025. Hope you can join us!
