Join us in Jackson February 10 to find out what kind of a winter are we having for “irruptive” birds!

This winter is turning out to be pretty good for the most exciting of the “irruptive” species, the amazing Snowy Owl. They are being seen all along the coast from Maine and New Hampshire to New Jersey and even Virginia. (Photo left, Rhododendrites)

What about the other “irruptive” birds, the gorgeous Evening Grosbeak (photo right, Laurie Schall) and other winter finches? Please join us at the Jackson Public Library February 10 at 7pm for a program about these special winter visitors. We will share some dazzling photos from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology | Macaulay Library and talk about the reasons why these birds sometimes appear in large numbers in the winter, and where and how you might see them.
